how to use snipping tool without opening your window bar
step-by-step
- unlock your computer and navigate to the screen or window you wish to capture.
- press the keyboard shortcut: windows key + shift + s
- select a capture mode from the toolbar that appears at the top of your screen:

- rectangular snip: click and drag to select a custom section
- freeform snip: draw any shape around any shape you want to capture
- window snip: click on specific window to capture only that area
